Week One: Overview
1. Starting the Holistic Journey - Introductions: Orientation to Holistic Curriculum.  Expectations: Course Objectives, Learning Partners, Team Presentations, What is Holistic Curriculum? Readings, Meditation Journals, Reflection, Holistic Educator's ToolKit/Treasure Chest 
2. Holistic Dialogues and Images, Meditation Techniques
Week Two: Connections
1. Metaphors for Holistic Curriculum.  Creative Visualization 
Learning Partners re: journals, readings. Symbols, Shadows and Sacred Places
2. Teams Form and meet to create criteria for presentations 
Week Three: Memories, Mentors, Models
1. Affirmations. Illustrated Teaching Stories. Surprise Stories. Playback Theatre. 
2. Treasure Maps - Teams finalize work on presentations (bring art supplies) 

Midway: (check meditation journals - update on chapter readings and tool kits)

Week Four: 
1. Sky & SeaTeams present
2. Oasis and Island Teams present 
Week Five
1. HOLIDAY - choose opptional assignment (Ram Dass DVD and haiku or Allen Gdn. collage)
2. Mountain & Meadow Teams present

(check meditation journals)

Week Six
1. Partners hand in reports on readings - Share tool kits/treasure chests. Team packages due.
(may include Haikus, Garden Trip Collages)
2. Course Wrap Up/Feedback - Celebration!
Reflective Papers Due
Supplemental Activities (to make up for missing session on holiday Monday)
Viewing the film"Fierce Grace" about Ram Dass and writing a haiku http://astralsite.com/holistic/haiku.html to express your response. 
Share your haiku(s) in class. This activity requires arranging to see the DVD with the Media desk on the 3rd floor. (1 hour 20 minutes). Haikus are shared in class.
Field trip to Allen Gardens: find a plant that is "you" to create a collage capturing the essence of this choice. Your photo is taken with your plant. This picture becomes the centrepiece for a self-portrait collage. Most fun when done with others. Collages are shared in class.
